we worship besil plant because we use each and every parts of the plant as medicinewe say donot hurt anybody by words or by weapon it is sin . every thing which is connected with hygine we have linked with sin and blessings . this religion is centuries old and whenever we find any thing wrong we have ammendede

well, i'm not sure.
although i am not hindu, and i find the veda's to be inaccurate, i must say it is a BEUTIFUL religion [or belief, way of life, whatever you want to call it!] i have never seen such a religion that seems so positive, and happy. and the hindu people are the happiest people on earth!
I love the hindu people, and i love the hindu religion. it is truely a great religion, or way of life. :)

Ask any Religious person of almost any orthrodoxed religion... each and everyone CLAIMS to be NOT a religion.
They claim to be:
- relationshiip with the Divine
- a way of life
- method of self discovery
- the list goes on.
All in all religion, way of life or path is just a label for the same thing

I am not Hindu, but I believe that every religion is not only some prayers and spiritual teaching, every religion is a way of living of its own, so I my comment is yes I agree . .
