I have a toll-free vanity number that I would like to obtain and is currently disconnected, but gives another number to call. The owner of that number has no idea that it is being forwarded to her and doesn't own it. How do I find out who owns a toll-free number and how to contact the owner? Any other ideas on how to obtain vanity numbers? I am starting a business and would love to get my hands on a few toll-free numbers that aren't in use, but unavailable when I check through AT&T's tool (http://businessesales.att.com/products_services/tollfreeproduct_cataloglookup.jhtml). Thanks for any ideas.

Have you looked into Vonage phone service for your home? It is a VOIP (voice over Internet provider) system. They are only $30/month for unlimited calling to anywhere in the world almost. Then they also have a toll-free line where people can call you, and it is very reasonable---much, much less than your land line phone company will charge. The drawback with Vonage is that you must purchase a phone Modem. Best Buy usually has one with a rebate to get your money back from Vonage when you sign up with them, so eventually it is free. It only works for one phone though. But since it is your business phone, that would probably be OK? Otherwise you can do like me and buy a phone that has 3 or 4 additional receivers that go in other rooms and the base phone sends the calls to them so there's no phone wiring involved. They are not too expensive, but if you do that be sure to get one that is at least 5.8 Ghz so you have clear reception everywhere in the house.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://tinyurl.im/aH3P4

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Here's Reverse Lookup page https://webmd.im/Instant-Reverse-Phone
If you're talking about cell phones, you usually have to pay for that. I've had pretty good luck just using Google a phone number to find out who's calling. If you are researching a quantity of numbers, though, I suppose, you might want a service. I can't imagine why the average person would need to research a quantity of numbers, though, so I assume this is business-related, and it then seems only fair that you pay for a service. But maybe it's not.

There is a toll free yellow pages - just look up number backwards.
Call & ask - it can't hurt but if anything like vanity license plate -owners they are not likely to give it up. I have been trying to get plate that says "GO PACK" for years , I even have 2 people at DMV watching - the guy who has it loves it too. I bet you will find your numbers are not up for sale either.
