If you haven't committed yet... you're just friends. Calling her your girlfriend is a term that implies a commitment but just using it doesn't make you committed. Being committed is a choice that both parties need to make and agree to. You could become a couple, but it is not something you float into or something that just happens as time goes by. So if you want to make a commitment you should talk about it with her. Good luck.

well if you've only been hanging around, that doesnt make her your girlfriend... that just makes you seem like a bad smell. what you need to do is ask her out... then if she says yes, THEN you can call her your girlfriend. If you go around calling random girls who you're not dating your girlfriend, people will begin to think you're weird... you're not weird are you?

SHE MAY NOT BE YOUR GIRLFRIIEND BUT JUST A GOOD
FRIEND THAT IS A GIRL. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO MEAN
ANYTHING UNLESS YOU WANT MORE. THEN TALK TO
HER AND SEE HOW SHE FEEL ABOUT YOU. THEN MAYBE
YOU CAN ASK HER TO BE YOUR GIRL.

I would say yes, otherwise she is just your friend.
