An Atheist that is wrong.

If I was a Christian that was right I would be:

1. Disgusted at the behaviour of YHWH both now and in the past.
2. Disgusted at myself for following and accomodating YHWH's behaviour.

If I was an Atheist that was wrong, it could be possible that the deity that exists is not an omni-deity and thus not omnipotent, but still omnibenevolent.

Perhaps its a pagan god/goddess that's true and everyone's going to heaven who tried to be moral?

It works out better to be an Atheist that is wrong.

Right or wrong I'd rather be a Christain.
For argument sake........what if I AM wrong? What have I lost? I've lived a wonderful life, surrounded by some truely awesome people, I've loved hard, given generously, and leave this world knowing I did the absolute best I could. My anger is slow, my mind quick, my heart tender........thanks to my beliefs. If a nonbeliever dies and they are wrong think about what they loose.
So for those that think my walk with Christ foolishness, I'm proudly a fool (in your opinion)!

why not just say something like...

"I'm not sure. I hope I am making the best decision based on what I know, what I've grown up with, and the knowledge I've gained from looking into it. I hope that God, if he exists, understands this. The only way I will know for sure or not, is if somehow I am told later in life or when I die."

You should just stand by your decision. If you are truely comfortable with your decision, then being right or wrong will not matter, as later you can be humble if the actual answer is ever presented in a form you can take to be true.

Is that agnosticism?

Hope my thoughts will help you.

****Edit****

That Searcher person above... her logic makes such great sense.

EXCEPT... She must not be a true christian for in fact she does not believe beyond doubt that she is correct. So her logic fails. She is no better off than an athiest according to her logic (i.e. if chritianity were proven to be the correct answer (or whatever religion with God, such as Islam), she TOO would be in the wrong as with the athiests). Shrug, sucks to be her. I think my answer is the safest. I am open to changing my mind later, also.

I'm going to be biased on this, because I'm a Christian, but I'd definitely rather be a Christian that is right.

Besides, if the atheists are right, I won't end up anyplace after I die, so how will I know any different. If I'm dead, I still have not lost anything by choosing God. But if God and the Bible are right, then I've lost if I choose the atheist's point of view on life after death.
So, what have I got to lose by choosing eternity with Christ? Absolutely nothing!!

Did you perhaps mean that the other way around? Everyone would pick the christian this way - but then, it's just pascal's wager - would you rather be a wrong christian or a right zeus-worshipper? Why don't you worship zeus?

I'm not going to play that game - I'm a happy atheist who is rather convinced she is right, but willing to change her mind if she ever sees any evidence of a god.

I don't really understand the question, I'm a Christian but I have to tell you I am wrong about alot of things & someone who reads the Bible all the time would not consider me a Christian because of the things that I've done

What? That doesn't make any sense.

I'd rather be a good person who tries his hardest to do the right thing while others are having debates on who is going to hell based on superstitious theories.

...for arguments sake

Um, i do not realize your question, why might want to all people opt for to be someone who change into claimed to be incorrect? i in my view might want to opt for an atheist who's good, because i'm an agnostic, 10-20% doubt that there might want to be a god (yet precis, like source of sunshine, no ideally suited being) yet at the same time as it contains faith, no one faith is extra suited than yet another, there;s no evidence for any faith because each thing originated from guy, each thing we've at present, and atheism, isn't a faith, it will be seen a theory of a few style, even if it is not any longer a faith, hence the slighest danger of evidence that would want to help between both might want to be atheism because technological information might want to be indirectly, or perhaps immediately, substantiating atheism you understand what quite ticks me off, at the same time as non secular boastful pricks are confident that they are proper, that they have got been kept and they condescend, actual, human beings have the right to have self belief even if that they opt for, yet stop shoving it into human beings's faces, because if there quite change right into a god, who sat there and watched the 7 billion human beings contained in the international for the time of their entire lives and kept a itemizing, i imagine he might want to seem to work out who change into easily moral and moral and under no circumstances someone who religiously praised the god and claimed to love god without learning the genuine meanings of factors philosophies and existence- it is stupid to provide god a human representation, purely undeniable stupid, to manage a god like someone and LOVE him, what's the manage that?? the which technique of existence is to blindly positioned faith into something with none evidence and disillusion your self and stay without learning existence and purely LOVE god? that purely sounds so superficial
