I've long thought it would be a really cool idea for NASCAR to have a womens' series, the way there's a WNBA. Most women do have less upper body strength and more endurance for pain than most men. Imagine Danica Patrick and Erin Crocker vying for the Cup...imagine all the sponsorship money from Tampax and Revlon and such...imagine pink and purple cars...

Hell, I gotta think of something to pass the time between seasons.

What do y'all think of the idea?

The WNBA sucks. You should just race with the boys, y'all can do it. Just have to believe you can.

I think if a woman is able to work her way up through the NASCAR ranks then she should have the right to run with "the boys". If a woman earns enough points then she would win the CUP. My man may not agree with me but that's ok.

I do like the idea of Tampax and Revlon sponsoring a car though. I mean Viagra has a car so why can't Tampax, Revlon, and Always also sponsor a car.

I agree with one of the responders, the WNBA is a flop, a woman's nascar could be the same. I would like to see a woman ownership group, assemble a group of woman and run in Nascar....they need to have some resources to put out quality cars, but a woman group could compete with the men during the same races...I would have really liked to see Danica Patrick, come to Nascar as she hinted she may, but we all know that was just a scare tactic to get more money from IRL.

No it wouldn't work, as they are currently not enough drivers to even a make a series and would anyone even care to watch? However, Lyn St.James currently has a special support program to assist young women wishing for a racing career. Many women drivers have shown they can run with the 'big boys' in NHRA, Shirley Muldowney and Angelle Sampey are both multiple Champions, while Melanie Troxel, Shelly Anderson, Lori Johns and Asheley Force, just to name a few have Won National events. As for 'femine product' sponsors, Lyn St.James was sponsored by SECRET, Tina Gordon, (no relation to Jeff or Robby), had LOVABLE, Shawna Robinson was to be sponsored by VASSARETTE, and Sterling Marlin even had UNDERALLS as a sub-sponsor, (not sure how that fits though).

this idea would never ever work. nobody would give a crap like nobody gives a crap about WNBA or the now defuct WUSL. Danica and Erin already race with the boys and compete why do they need there own series to dominate? it would be like Jimmie Johnson racing ARCA

I think its a good idea but why have a "women's series"? Why don't we just race with the guys? It would be more competitive and more fun if we were in the chase for the cup competing against the guys...hell, i'd do it

i dont think that it would be in nascar's best interest to risk dividing thier fans by gender. I cant really imagine to many men watching WNASCAR. It doesnt matter who your sponsors are. Revlon, maybeline, stay fresh mini pads would be in nascar already if they wanted to (Kleenex is) Race to win, thats all

and we already have a pink and purple car. The target car when its doing thier breast cancer run and the Crown Royal car is purple

NO!!

If a woman is good enought to drive at the Daytona 500, then she should be right up there witht the guys!

I do not believe people would watch woman drivers alone. A lot of guys ( no point intended) would not be interested. AM I wrong Guys?

No. If they lady can drive, let her drive with the guys. Look at the WNBA, the ladies are just as talented, but have less exposure and ticket sales then the men, and earn far less.

no they should race with the men and i think they should be sponsored by barbie. as we all know no matter who drives the m and m car it still is one of the most popular cars on the track. Some people pick the cars for the car and not the drivers. Think how much money barbie would make from the sales of Barbie crap!!!!!
