Love is long- lasting, fascination is not. With love, you accept that person, good or bad. With fascination, you see the good and become disappointed when you realize the bad.

That is a good question because when we forst meet someone that we like we are fascinated with we really want to talk to them alot and think it may be love. I only can think of one way to tell. That is time If you are only fascinated with that person then it will not be long you will be bored or tired of that person. I'm not saying you can't fall in love with that person. But if you love someone it goes beyond infatuation and you will know.

Because fascination dies very quickly and love continues to live in your heart even if only a tiny bit, it never goes away when its true.

I think it depends on what you feel about the person. Do you like them for who they are, or are you fixated on their body? What is it about them that attracts them to you? Are you emotionally involved?
