I really like this sandwich. I slice my banana long wise and fry it in a little butter and oil first. It makes the banana taste sweeter.

Yuck, I hate bananas. Replace them with something else, such as papaya, and might consider tyring it. Ever try a frosting made ith plain sugar, instead of powdrered? Here's a recipe, someone gave me-frosting made with flour.
5 Tlbs flour
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Blend flour and milk and heat to a starch consistancy. --Now I've never
made starch so I really don't know what that is so I just make it thick
and pasty.
Stir constantly so you don't scorch it.
Set aside in large bowl to cool.
Cream the butter to light and fluffy , add cugar and cream to light and
fluffier. Add vanilla.
Using same beaters with out washing gradually add the sugar mixture to
the flour mixture. Cream well after each addition. I usually add in
1/3 at a time.
Although I've never done it I'm sure you could add almond extract,
lemon
or any other flavor to the mixture.

A banana sandwich with mayo on white bread was a staple when I was growing up in the south. We also made banana sandwiches with mayo on one slice and peanutbutter on the other. Elvis was the only one down here who FRIED the sandwich. lol

Yes, when I was young we used to make banana sauce, which was mashed banana with mayo. We would eat it on toasted bread. It was great. Now, I wish I had some bananas so I can have it too.

mayo is fat...now why would anyone want to put a load of fat on a sandwich without much nutrition to balance it out?.......its just like saying, i'm gonna take the skin of fried chicken and eat it but i'm not eating the meat or anything else...or something along those lines...bananas are good, but i think mayo to me is there to even out the tartness of mustard when its on a sandwich...more powere to ya i guess

One time I put coco puffs in my tuna helper. Sometimes odd combinations become brilliant creations! I will have to try your mayonana!
