Make certain the chemical content is the same. Do your math right - then you're probably okay.
Frontline is something called Fipronil - it's usually really safe as a chemical - just don't overdose. Never use in a kitten or puppy under 12 weeks.

Actually, Advantage is the flea poison of choice for this, as frontline uses a different chemical for dogs than cats, and ythe chemical is feadly to cats. Advantage for dogs can be used, but only use about 3 to 5 drops on the cat, once a month. Also treat the bedding, and the house if they are in the home as well. I had a vet give me Advantage for dogs, and show me the proper dosage to use on Our cats. It's cheaper in the long run, also.

No , because the dosage for a dog is stronger than the one for a cat and it could hurt or even kill them if you do it. Take the cat to a vet and let them take care of the cat . Or at very least get the Frontline for cats within the right weight limits too.

The thing about chemicals is getting the dose just right. The Frontline Plus is measured in an exact dosage that is just right for a cat, no matter what the cat's weight might be.
If you don't get it right, you could harm the cat, or not apply a sufficient amount to do the job. You don't need a vet to get Frontline Plus. They have it a Pet Supplies Plus here in PA and on reputable internet pet pharmacy sites. Get the stuff that is for cats and save yourself a lot of trouble.

NO! That is where most of the deaths and sicknesses come from when they are reported about frontline and other vet perscribed flea meds, because of people doing that. They have seperate ones for dogs and cats for a REASON.

NO! This will cause serious reactions. It can cause ailments including seizures, coma, and even death. Unfortunatley, I see this happen at my clinic at least several times a year. Despite the warnings, people refuse to believe it can happen to their pets. If you care for your feline companion, and I'm sure you do, then you owe it to him/her to do the right thing. Get the medication that is designed for felines. Your furry friend will be grateful!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Petco gave us flea meds for dogs by mistake (it wasn't labeled so we didn't know) and my mom put it on our cat. And the cat had seizures and chewed his tongue off. We had to put him down because mentally he was gone.
