There are a number of ways to cook oysters;
1. crumb and deep fry the oysters and serve them with cocktail or sweet chilli sauce
2. Leave them in their half shell add worchestershire sauce (UK spicy sauce) top with diced bacon and cook under a grill
3. Leave them in their half shell and aff a mixture of sour cream, parmesan and cheddar cheese and lightly bake in the oven at 350 F or 180 C
all these ways are pretty yummy but you can also cook them in a pasta sauce for a pretty decadent pasta with angel hair, just add a little lemon juice and fresh corriander chopped!!

this is my recipe for marinated oysters.
3/4 cup of white wine
1/4 cup of olive oil1/4 cup of vegetable oil
juice from 1 1/2 lemons
black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
1/4 cup of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 garlic cloves crushed and chopped
3 tablespoons of soya sauce
1 lb of fresh oysters
In a large pot put all ingredients a let sit for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes put pot over medium high heat on the stove and cook just until liquid comes to a boil. Remove from heat and let the oysters cool in the marinate. When cool keep in the frig. They keep in the marinate for about 5 days.
To serve remove oysters from the marinate and serve with a green salad or just on there own. They are to be served cold. This gives you the advantage of a cook oyster that tastes raw
Enjoy Bill

Heat up a frying pan with a knob of knob butter and a splash of oil (to keep the butter from burning). Lightly dust the oysters with flour, toss into the frying pan, and cook about 2 minutes on each side. Don't over-cook them or they'll become tough. Bon Appetit!

You can steam them or saute them in butter, olive oil, garlic and parsley...kinda like a scampi.
