Well, a well known relationship expert says when you divorce you need 1 full year from when the divorce is final. She is very adamant with this rule
If you lived with the person, for a long time, you may want to consider this. You just have to wait. You will know when your mind and heart has healed enough, just give it time. Be with yourself for a while.

wow that's a long relationship there is no set time just whenever you feel like dating...don't let anyone pressure you into it if you are not ready....you will eventually have to take the next step though

I was going to ask the same question.. lol! my 4 years are up. I feel like getting it on with someone else because I feel like I've been needing something better and more appreciating all these years.. so I'm free im ready to roam and mingle.

well, after 4 years' may be you should first know her name' and then tell her that you maybe love her' and ask if you can touch her finger. then you can ask if you could go out for a date!

when you feel ready. Nobody can tell you when it just has to feel right to you. I would take time to recover so you don't have a rebound or bring old issues into a new relationship.
