The oil on your scalp is called sebum and it's not bad. It's actually created by your scalp to protect it from drying out. DO NOT start washing your hair more often. This will strip the oils from your scalp on a more regular basis, signalling to your scalp to start OVER-PRODUCING more sebum. Just wash your hair when it starts looking too greasy. I'm a girl, I care about my appearance and I only need to wash my hair 2 to 3 times a week, tops, because my scalp isn't trained to produce tons of oil.
Hope this helped!

If your is dry, brittle, colored, etc. then the oil is a good thing. It's your scalp trying to replenish the hair shaft. But if you do a lot of physical activity it could be your scalp perspiration building up and you need to wash more frequently. Also, try just conditioning and blow drying daily in between the shampooing days. That tends to give the hair a freshly washed look without drying it out. Hope this helps.

Everyone has oil on their scalp, they are caused by your sebaceous glands. Some people have more oil than others, because their glands may be more active. Try using a balancing shampoo and conditioner, this will wash away excess oil from an oily scalp while keeping your hair from drying out. Good Luck!

its natural oil produced by your body. I get an oily scalp/hair too, so I have to wash my hair every day. you probably need to wash your hair at the least every other day. wash your hair more often, and the shampoo will break up and wash away the excess oil. if your scalp still gets too oily, only condition your roots...rubbing conditioner into your scalp and hair close to your scalp can cause some peoples hair to be too oily as well.

That is very normal. Oil is good to a certain degree. It nurishes your hair and keeps it from damage of harsh elements. But when the oil builds up after a few days, it could block you pores and cause your hair to smell :( Don't let the build up go on too long. Wash your hair at least every 3 days.

it's good. Your hair and scalp produce natural oils to protect them from drying out. You shouldn't be worried about this.

i don't understand approximately all of those, yet i understand that mayonnaise will artwork. a chum of mine have been given lice very nearly each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in grade college, and her mom continuously used mayonnaise. yet truthfully, i'd merely bypass with the keep offered medical care. that's what I used as quickly as I have been given lice, and it labored effective. then you definitely do no longer could take care of the extensive mess and ridiculous scent of mayonnaise (plus it makes your hair greasy). and whether you do use a house medical care, you nonetheless could be certain you get a nit comb and comb by each and every strand of hair. i did no longer do this for the period of the beginning up, so the lice saved coming decrease back.
