I just came back from the toilet...I actually bled from my anus! I'm scared :(

I'm only thirteen and no it's not my period. What is wrong with me? Should I go see a doctor?

If it is just a small amount of blood when you wipe back there, it is probably nothing to worry about. This sometimes happens in small amounts when the anus is stretched beyond what is "normal". If it is a lot of blood...like enough to soak your underwear similar to the amount you would have during a period, or if this happens regularly, then you may want to consult your doctor.

Did you by chance have a bowel movement (go poop) and was it really hard? Did you have to push really hard when you went? If so, it is possible that you just tore the outer tissue around your rectum - which is not totally abnormal, it happens if your stool gets really "over packed".
If that is not the case and you notice it again, you need to let mom know and have her take you to the doctor.

hun, its probobly hemmroids, i had those when i was younger than you. you can get them from straining when you go to the bathroom, or even if you sit on a cold bench. but the ones you might have could be deep inside you. i never went to a doc about my hemmroids, but, if its alot of blood then i would. just take it easy, and dont stress too much. if there is blood in your stool tho, then that would be bad. that could be a sign of cancer, but im sure your just fine. and its only hemmroids.

were you constipated and passed a large or hard stool...do you have hemorrhoids, rectal fissures or similar?
did you wipe too hard or vigorous?
yes, it could always be crohns, ulcerative colitis, cancer...but the number one thing in kids is constipation and passing hard and large stools
eat more veggies, drink more water, eat less junk food and get more exercise...and do not ignore the urge to go to the toilet!
if it persists, go see you doctor, please

Hemoroid broke and bled. If it continues, get to a DR

Blood on your bum?
Well, at only 13, you're too young to have any medical nasties happening.
Go tell your mom or dad
NOW!
They'll take you to the hospital.

yeas, a doctor is always the best! but if you are constipated, it could be that you just hurt yourself when pushing hard. just use something to cool down, like wipes.

Dude, it's your period. Really.
If it is REALLY not your period (it is, though)
then it is not likely too serious. If you bleed in
you intestines it does not leak out, it absorbs and
turns your poo black. Go to the doctor either way.
