Help me with my dog she is a boston tarrier we take her out to go to the bathroom when we should?

but she likes to go in the bathroom and pee on my rug we have a cat and his litter is in there also but she dont do it all the time she goes though sperts shes healthy and all can anyone hepl

Most dogs that go through spurts of this are trying to tell you that you are doing something they do not like, or have been fed something, like table scraps that does not agree with them. Suggest you check in the library for dog behavior books. They will have tips and tricks about this behavior.

are you guys feeding her anything that will upset her stomach? LIke table scraps, food she doesn't care for, or too much dog food? Also when do you take her out to use the bathroom? She should go out after she eats and so on. Or she could have an infection. Take her to the vet to get a check up.

Make sure you clean the rug very well and try to get something deep cleaning so it gets the oder out if shes going in the same spot. My springer spaniel does the exact same thing. Also if she might have an infection try giving her cranberry pills it always seems to help

Go back to basics. When she messes up, tell her no, put her outside for 15 minutes, then bring her in and put her in a crate for 15 minutes. When she successfully goes ouside, praise her and give her treats, EVERY TIME. Wash the rug and store it until the problem is resolved.

Oh that sucks my boston terrier lets us know when he wants to go out. We had a puppy boston terrier though, that we learned to watch her behavior she was hard to house break when she got all antsy and excited we would take her outside till she eventually learned.
