No. They are too different.

Think about the difference between a 5 y/o and a 10 y/o...15 to 18 is about the same.

It is definitely not ok for many reasons. It may seem interesting to you, but it will be fleeting for him. The only thing worse that an 18 year old with a 15 year old is a 19 year old with a 16 year old. All you really have in common is temporary attraction. Your immediate life experiences are completely different. Wouldn't you rather be with someone you have more in common with?

P.S. Everyone that is commenting on the legality of "age of constent." Here's how it works: If you're under the age of consent and he's an adult, he can go to jail. It doesn't matter if it's just a few years - the law is the law. What's even more important that you have age appropriate relationships and from a 15 year old's perspective, you can't know the difference.

Why would an 18 year old guy date a 15 year old girl? From many people's perspective, there is something wrong with this and it will eventually be a problem in your relationship.

When you're 19 and he's 22, go for it.

It is perfect! If I were 15 I would date a 18, simply because of what some people call 'age of mind' (<=== do not take offense, in case you are the 18yr) This is just the way we are and it is very possible that the relationship goes well. Now, if I were the guy I would take into consideration 'the in-laws'... Sometimes they become an obstacle when they do not accept the relationship. It is always better when the guy 'asks permission' (<== just in case!) This way those who suspect will realise that the 18yr old has no dark intentions (<== utilise her for sex) towards their 'baby'.

Hell NO! An 18 year - old MAN, is looking for one thing and one thing only. That 15 year old GIRL is going to be in trouble. I've always wondered why an 18 year old guy would even attempt to go after a 15 (or 14 or 13 or whatever) girl. It seems trivial, as later on in life a 45 year old man and a 40 year old woman could make a great couple. But put them at 18 and 13 and you've got problems. Like I said, is it okay? Hell no.

I don't think there is a lot of difference between 15 and 18, but you might want to put it off till your 16 so that the young man wont get arrested when your parents get ill at him.

Most states the age of consent is 16, so check your states age limit.

EDIT: To address the post above mine that is by someone who is look at it as black and white.

What if the girl was 3 months from being 16 and the guy just turned 18? They could have started dating when he was 17 and she was 15, is that really that big of a difference? Should those ages not be dating?

Dude seriously it depends on maturity levels, girls are usually more mature than guys so the age diff levels out. You are honestly on the same level and as long as everyone important around approves than it is not an issue at all. If she is retarded and the dude just wants to get in her pants then forget it. Also what most people dont consider is that 18...Most are still in high school and who else does an 18 year old have to date other than other high school students?

I guess that would really be up to the parents of the 15 year old girl. But in my opinion I wouldn't let my daughter date an 18 year old and she is 15.

No. Psychologically it can be bad for the 15 year old girl, but more importantly it can be against the law in some states. If this were to be illegal and reported the 18 year old guy could be arrest, tried, and if convicted placed on a sex offender registry potentially for the rest of his life. It is just not worth it for him.

well, at least here in california, it's not legally ok. in other states, im not sure. even besides the law, i dont think its generally a good idea. 15 year old girls are much too young and delicate and vulnerable compared to 18 year old guys who generally want ONE thing (you probably know what this is.) stick with other 15 year old boys. if the guy is sincere, hell be there once you turn 18. for now, JUST be friends.....theres nothing illegal about that.

I don't know. If the 15 year old was my daughter, I'd probably be against it... but I think it has a lot to do with maturity. I had some friends who were in 10th grade who dated 12th grade guys (similar age difference) and their relationships went ok.

Think about how mature you are and how mature he is... and also it depends if he is in college or high school... because if he is in college (or of college-age at least, despite if he's in college) and your in high school, than that's a lot of differences to take into account. Those types of relationships don;t last so great to begin with.
