Use Head and Shoulders: Dry Scalp. It works really well. Before I had a dry scalp and oily hair and now its all fine. I don't mean to show like an ad, but it does help. You can get it at your local drugstore in the shampoo section. It should cost about 4-6 bucks, depending the location and store.

Drink lots of water. Hydrating your hair will help with the scalp.

Don't wash your hair often, the scalp will also dry up since you repeatedly clean it too often. Wash it every 3-4 days if you have normal hair.

Using gel, mousse, pr hairspray also affects the scalp. Well, mostly its from gel or mousse. The chemicals you rub in your scalp will dry it up and eventually, thin and damage your hair, thus, making it fall out. I recommend using on the hair, but away from the scalp.

I hope this helps! Good luck! :-)

Switch to a shampoo without detergents - Earth Science makes some, and give yourself an olive oil treatment every week.
Rub a very SMALL amount into your scalp, leave it on a few hours while you watch tv or something, and wash and condition as usual.

I definitely think that if you have any problem with your scalp or hair you should consult your hair stylist! I'm thinking that head and shoulders may be the most efficient shampoo. Also, try looking for shampoos that say "scalp renewal" on them! I warn you though, dont scratch it! DANDRUFF IS BAD!

I use Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment, it's in a dark blue bottle. My dermatologist recommended it, and make sure you follow with a good hydrating conditioner.
