For one do not lean into him while you're talking that tends to send the signal that you're interested.... while you are not. Also don't sit really close to him or too friendly if you know what I mean. If you want him to know that you're not available to him try crossing your arms.... that kind of shuts you off to him. Well good luck but most of all maybe you should try just letting him know while you consider him a good friend thats all you feel comfortable with. Tell him that you don't want to run the risk of messing up your friendship. That should let him down easy and still make him feel important to you.

TELL HIM NOW!!! Dont let him twist in the wind trying to figure out what signals you are sending...everyone takes them different...you dont want him like that eventually it has to come out so get it over with...he will be okay, and much better off than letting his feelings overwhelm him over time...
Yeah getting rejected sucks, even more so when you dont ask the person out, but sit him down and tell him that you think you know how he feels about you and if that is true you are not into him like that...I had a friend who knew I was into her put me through this for 8 years (the whole time she was with someone) and when she finally left the bum she was with, well that is when she decided to let me down hard...if she just came out with it early on, would have been her friend just like I was, but wouldnt have taken that gut shot and maybe I would still be her friend...but friends dont let friends twist in the wind...

If he's really your friend you have to have the awkward conversation. I think it is kinder to flat out say he is a great friend to you but that is all and you don't see it changing in the future and let him stop wondering and maybe hoping. Then, be sure your actions match your words so theres no confusion and no mixed signals.
Things might be awkward for awhile after that but you will probably eventually get back to a friendly relationship.

The "knee slap" like just slapping a guy on the knee is the biggest nonverbal signal that you just want to be friends. Also, keep your posture somewhat away from his direction. He'll get the picture.

Just come right out in a conversation about how you aren't looking for any relationships right now and you're happy to be single. There's no clearer way to do it then to just say it.

Its not really all about your body language. If he ever approaches you then just keep your voive steady like you would with anybody and talk to him as if he is your firend. Its not about what to do to keep him away, its what not to do to keep him away.

what is the problem. He hasn't asked you out so you seem worried about a non-existant situation.
