If I take valium before a flight, how is it going to affect me?

I'm looking for something that will make me drool on my seat and not care about being in such an unnatural state.

That could do it. It will probably put you to sleep for sure. You may need to have a mouthfuls of drink to help with the drool part. Sleep with your head tilted at least a 45* angle or 90 * if you would like it to travel down the front of the person sitting beside you. Keep your mouth open during take off, this should help with the air pressure to keep it that way. Wear a nylon jacket yourself and hopefully you sit next to someone wearing their fur coat. (hehe)

It'll just make you sleepy. It's a good choice if you get nervous flying but you probably shouldn't drink on the flight if you take Valium because it may completely knock you out - thinner air and all.

If you take it before the flight you wil feel close to normal however once you take off if you look out of the window you will see that you are getting higher and higher. Finally you will level off and then about the time you get to your destination you will start to come down

Hmm... I do not advice you do that because by the time you wake up on the other end, your destination, you might be useless to yourself. This depends on how far the trip is though. Flying long distance itself will make you sleep naturally and the phobia will disappear.

Gotta tell you I took 2 and a motion sick pill and still didn't pass out, I was too busy worrying about how well the pilot was driving! I passed out when I got to my hotel though. Good Luck

Valium or Xanax will do it. but I can tell you when I take xanax I blackout and do stupid things like as if I was blitzed drunk. Maybe not a good idea on a plane.
