You could make a scrapbook for inexpensive with some really awesome photos of you and her in it. I am sure that she would love something that you put time and effort into. Besides that, if you bought something like lotion or a candle, it would not last as long as a scrapbook.

I think your very sweet for thinking about your mom at Christmas time.Especially only having $10.00 most kids would spend it on themselves or candy.I have 2 girls 16 & 13, I think anything they get me is good enough,it's the thought that counts. Something moms never forget are the memories. But material things, get here something she collects,I collect angel figurines they buy me $1 figurines all the time. Or a poem of some kind to hang on the wall.

If she likes music, you can burn her a mix cd of all her favorite songs, or songs that you like together. You can make her a cover for it and give it a cool title. If you have a digital camera, you can do something funny with photos, like a pop up card.

If you are not into writing poetry, you can write her like a little essay on why she is a great mom. She will love these things more than anything you can buy at the store.

Make her somthing, buy construction paper and string then use colored pencils to make a book of coupons for her (cleaning the house, her car, giving her a back rub ect) or if your ok with lovey dovey stuff make her a book of why you love her (alwasy there for you, kind caring ect)

Another idea would be to write a poem about her, if your into that or draw her a big picture on cardboard or paper (normaly pretty cheap) if your into that.

the point is, ten dollars will never buy you a gift that says "i love you and your specail" but making a gift, even if it's kinda cheap or corny, means so so much more especaily to parents.

Make a collage of pictures of you, your siblings, your Dad, your Mom, etc. This thing my mom does with her daycare kids every year and the kids love them. She takes a picture of each kid, finds a lid from some sort of jar, glues red or green felt to the back, glue lace around the outside, decorate the outside with some sort of string of beads or something, and glue the picture in the center. After all this you glue a piece of ribbon to the back and give it to her as an ornament. Trust me, parents love this. My mom has been doing it for about 3 years in a row and the parents never get tired of it. If you do this, trust me, she will love it.

Write her a letter and tell her why you love her. Say what makes her a great mom and talk about specific examples... stuff like, "I remember when you got me that jacket for my birthday and I was so suprised; you knew exactly what I wanted! ... you are a great mom because you have taught me how to love animals. I will never forget the orphaned baby robin that we rescued and raised together... I was so angry when you made me practice piano every day, but now I'm so proud of the way that I can play. Thank you for pushing me to do my best! " etc.

A mom will charish anything her child(ren) give her forever. Mother's are not picky people when it comes to buying her a gift. It is the thought that counts.
Does she crotchet? buy her some yarn
Does she like candles that smell nice? You know you can go to a dollar store and put together really nice candle sets.

Don't fret I bet your mom will adore whatever you choose. I know. I am a mom and I do.
LL.

It, of course, depends on your mother's tastes, but you could go to a place like WalMart or a dollar store. There are all kinds of things you could find that are reasonably priced.

WalMart has little, tiny, vases for under a dollar. You could select some particularly good looking silk or straw flowers, put them in a mini-vase, and add a ribbon. Add a small thing of chocolates or some other candy if that would be nice.

Dollar stores often have really nice little house things - little ceramic things for the house, vases, maybe little wood jewelry boxes - its hard to guess about what these stores have, but they have lots of pretty things reasonably priced.

Back to Walmart: They have the clay that you could bake some little clay thing like a little animals or beads or flowers or whatever you think she's like. They have the little wooden plaques that you can paint with a couple of 50 cent craft paints and glue a couple of flowers or ribbons to.

If your mother would wear a WalMart slip or other clothing accessory-type things they have half slips that are inexpensive, gloves, scarves, costume jewelry that isn't bad is she wears costume jewelry, things like hot plates to heat jar candles on, candles, jar candles, and they have some nice looking glass items (bowls, plates) or "dish type" stuff in their dishes departments. I once got a pretty decent looking (and pretty) little glass bowl with cut-outs for about a dollar.

Key chains, make-up bags, any kind of pretty soaps or sachets - they're all out in most stores for Christmas. You may find something at a Brooks or CVS. CVS has some kind of nice little decorative things and gift sets at Christmas time. There are always handy little calculators, pens, any kind of little calendar in a book, and other things for someone's handbag or desk .

If there's something your mother particularly likes (frogs, baseball, sunflowers, whatever) look for a mug or some other thing (magnets, address books, whatever) with whatever it is she likes on it.

Sometimes you can find mini-sized fragrance products. Maybe there's a fragrance you know she likes, and you could look for a mini-sized one.

There are all kinds of nice, little, gifty, things around if you look.
