I want to give my number to a guy but I don't want him to think that I'm asking him out. I don't mind to start off a conversation or something but I don't want him to think that I'm asking him out or proposing, i Think these are guys jobs.
What is the best way to do that?

giving him your number is not asking him out so just give it to him and tell him to keep in touch

You have to give some guys a hint that you may like them. Men are rejected so often starting at a young age, that some gets shy (because they fear rejection) and some become Jaded and stop looking at girls as real people (so the rejection don't hurt anymore). So if you like this guy, give him a hint. Smile at him when you see him and ask him simple questions, soon he may become comfortable with you enough to ask for your number.

It may be that your desperate... or you take pity on him. Or your interested in thim. The first way is cause he didn't ask and you just gave it to, maybe you are really looking for a guy. 2nd way is like that of giving money to a panhandler (self explanatory, you pity their situation and give them money.) The third is the modern day way of going about it. You show your interested then he will show an equal interest. Personally I like that. It shows that your a modern day lady that belives the dating scenerio works both way. Both men and women can make the first move.

If you work with him or if u are in school or something and are inthe same class, find the best opportunity for u to give him ur number FOR THE REASON that he will need to call you concerning something else,
but then that way he will atlesat have ur number

Call him and pretend to be a wrong number. Or you could always plan a charity event or something with him and create a working relationship that requires you to talk on the phone.

Ask to see his hand. Write your number on his hand, tell him to call you. Make him ask you out... just to let you know ladies can ask guys out too! We like that sometimes, it brings the pressure down A LOT!

Have an informal get together, or the next party you get invited to, tell him you're not sure of the details, but to call you in a couple of days if he wants to attend. This sounds casual and fun, and puts no pressure on him or you.
