I have a female, 12 year old Entlebucher Sennenhund who has developed incontinence in her later years. She is able to control her bladder until she goes to sleep, then she urinates in her sleep. Does anyone have any natural remedies for incontinence in an older dog? Our research says she probably needs hormones, however we are hesitant to start her on this type treatment due to her age.

Is there a wholistically oriented vet in your area?

I had the same problem. I actually have quite a simple solution to stop it as well. Does her vagina have a cheesy odor to it? If you are not sure go check. Afterwards, take a large piece of round wood and insert it into your dog's vag and secure it before bed. In the morning there will be no urine.
