You should direct that question to a lawyer. If investigation is necessary it can then be done with confidence and in private.
That question and private data about your late father should not be put on the internet.

A couple of years before my dad's step-mom died she had done up a new will and then she never told anyone where it was. My dad's lawyer told him he could do a search, but that it would cost about $500.

If you can't find it in the house, perhaps he put it in a Safe Deposit Box at the bank. Look through everything.

Look in a bank locker or safe vault that your family owns.

Ask your solicitor if nothing helps.

I'd suggest you remove this question. That's too much personal information in a public place.
