I have one word for you. Trust. Trust God regarding those things. Take care.

Heron by the see - I think God deserves the benifit of the doubt (not literally) regarding those things, and I know what types of things you are referring to. God is responsible for good things. He is not good and bad at the same time. So, there are reasons and explanations for the negative things. When we don't have those reasons, we should trust God.

Alucard - Yes but your thinking that those are silly or impossible are based on your belief that God does not exist to make them possible. And it is reasonable to believe in a Creator.

What should I do person - You said what about Zeus. I'm talking about the Creator, and it IS reasonable to believe in him. I suppose you could call him Zeus if you want to. I don't think he would mind. LOL

Hateful Atheist - No, I'm asking you to think differently. Positivly regarding faith, and faith related things.

No, I'm an atheist because I know that no God exists to be trusted.

I got over that. I had those kind of issues when I was a teen because everyone I knew was Christian so of course I wanted to be.
The problem was that I didn't believe in god. It sounded absurd to me then and still does. You feel the same way about Ra and Thor and any of the other ones that humans have made up over the years. I just included one god you don't. I grew up and got over the peer pressure thing.

WOW! You've answered all of my questions. After years of wanting to believe but cannot reconcile all of the details that seem to contradict each other, your one little word and your oversimplified answer has changed my life forever.
If only your message can be sent out to everyone you can bring the entire planet together with one thought. You should be the head of your own religion. You seem to have the true answer that everyone has been looking for.
Imagine all of those scholars that spent LIFETIMES toiling away at the very answer you just seem to be able roll right out and present it to us all for free.
Boy oh boy! You should be on every T.V. proclaiming that you, of all people that have ever been on the planet, have the one true answer.

I was once like you, a believer. Then I started researching on my own, and found that the Bible is nothing but plagarism. For every story in the Bible, there is one from an older religion just like it. Including the "Flood" and "Creation".
Besides the fact that Christian holidays are all based from Pagan holidays, including Christmas, and the most Pagan holiday, Easter.

Believe by faith?! No, you are asking me not to think. I don't even think you realize it. That's what takers do, they look for people who don't think. Maybe that's how religions started. Really, I am wicked because I question. People who are desperate to believe such things are wicked or retarded.
What was it that Voltaire said, "The first clergymen was the first rascal who met the first fool."

You cannot just ignore the questions. You cannot just accept what seem to be appalling things in Scriptures and assume them to be from God somehow. These things must be dealt with. It's ok to trust in God, but it is not ok to just ignore serious problems.

No, we are the skeptics because we see beyond your bullshit. Just the story of the flood or the story of creation should be enough for anyone to reject the bible.

The person who started this question is correct. God works by His own rules.
With the hearts of men being evil some will say in their arrogance.."I will believe in God if he shows me proof he exists."
But..
God doesn't go by mans rules. God says "I will prove to you I exist only if you believe in me first by faith."

I'd gladly "have faith" if you'd give me a convincing reason why I should, that doesn't amount to "just do it" or "just believe."
