My little is 13 and about 4 times a day after it snows he comes in with big salad bowls filled with snow that may or may be hours or days old. Can he infectious disease from this, even if a dog hasn't peed or **** on it? On a scale from one to ten, how high or low on the disgusting meter would you rate this. Ten being super gross and 1 being normal.

7. i mean it's not food. it's snow. but then again there are some ppl who find clean snow and make "snow cream" by adding vanilla and sugar or something. i mean, why not just get normal icecream from the store? i don't think he can get a disease as long as it's clean. but really if you live in the city, and it's really polluted, their air alone can contaminate anything falling from the sky. i would make him stop eating it unless it's totally clean. the most that can happen is he'd prob get sick and get diarrhea from bacteria

Avoid eating snow that is not white in colour only. It isn't only urine that is not good for you to injest, the salt, soil, dirt from the slushy grey snow isn't good either. But white snow from a heavy snowfall above the dirt levels could be a 1 - 2.

Eating snow is fine. In fact, around here, we make snow cream. All you do is mix sugar, vanilla, milk and snow until it's about the consistency of ice cream. It tastes great!
My mom always told us to not use the first snow, but after that, it is safe. I don't know for sure though.

There's virtually no chance of that happening. In fact, unless it was snow covering a decomposing carcass, chances would be 0.

People make ice cream from clean snow. He'll be fine.

4. Snow can have unknown contaminants in it. It's ok if it's only a little but eating big bowls of it could be kinda dangerous.

mabey a 5 on the gross scale because if snows dirty you'll be able to tell. and as long as he doesn't bring in snow that's not white he's fine
