I saw an article that a woman was held on 1 million dollars bail for microwaving her baby. So for bail to be 1.5 million, I don't even want to imagine what crime someone would have to commit.

One serious enough that they don't want you getting away!!! Bail amount doesn't determined (necessarily) by the type of crime you are accused of committing. It is determined by how much of a flight risk the judge thinks you are and how determined the judge is to ensure you are around for your hearing.

it could be a lot of things, murder, manslaughter, theft, if you are rich and considered a flight risk they want to keep you there so they put the price high. counterfiting, conversion of funds, drug dealing.
