I know taking a shower is the obvious answer, but i am a swimmer at my school which involves a lot of swimming and the water gets into the pores after a while. If i take a shower it helps for the next few hours but after that it gets pretty strong as it starts to come out of the pores. I'm asking because i have a swim meet on saturday and have to go to a school dance a few hours later and don't want my girlfriend to be smelling the chlorine off me. Would working out for a little help get it out of my pores and then shower?

Hi Mike, Working out is a very good ideal. You will sweat most of the chlorine smell out of your pores. After your shower, you should put some very nice cologne on. Something that will please your date. Have fun. School dances are a blast. Someone who remembers all the fun.

I swam but didn't have a problem with my skin smelling like chlorine but my hair. I used UltraSwim (a chlorine removing shampoo) twice a day. If it's your skin maybe just put clean smelling lotion on after your swim. That should do it.

Herbally speaking... try ginseng, echinacea, Golden seal, Giner, these are all great blood purifiers. It sounds like its gotten into your bloodstream if it comes out of your pores! Wow. Chlorine inside of your bloodstream. Sounds tuff. anyway, a few others to look for incase you see one with combinations are Licorice, Poke root, yellow dock, chaparral, good old garlic, sassafras, sarsaparilla... they are all very good for purifying the blood for a lot of different kinds of things i.e., drug toxicity, boils, infections, inflammations, exzema, psoriasis, cancer, sore throats, colds, flu, infections, urethritis, abscessed teeth... check into it before you say "Whaaaaaaaaaat!" Look some of these herbs and see for yourself! If I ever heard of it b4 sounds like you could have a little toxicity! in your blood so...

Anything that would cause you to sweat would help to get it out of your pores. Yeah. I would also suggest using some kind of cologne.
