I agree. I remember a Dear Abby once that really struck me as being great advice. Someone wrote in this long letter about someone who was a real embarrasment because she was so thin skined when it came to insults and things about her weight and the person that wrote in asked how she could get her to not be so sensitive about things. Dear Abby wrote back that she didn't think the sensitive one was the problem , she thought it was the insensitive people who had the problem and she should be more supportive of the person who was being hassled. I almost applauded right there in the restaurant.

Yes it is partly true. Only a person who can find a way to be happy with him or herself will be so kind. But I am certainly no confucius.
Edit: For the numb gums above me. The end of days has been coming for a long time. Learn some history you dip.
Edit: added even later. The numb gums above me had a bunch of bible verses to support his/her theory that the end of days is coming. Then they removed it and left nothing.

I agree....it's better that we should focus on the positive things in this life and in others than that we should pay attention to the negatives.
Whatever we choose to pay attention to, expands.....so it is better to focus on the things we want to see expand (like kindness and tolerance, etc.).
