Hello my name is London, I used to shave my arms if I stop will they ever look and or feel normal?

Question

I have not shaved my arms in about 6-7 months and and want to stop shaving them. Can I stop or will they never look or feel normaly again. Please help me it is driving me crazy and I wish I had never shave them. I was told the hair regrowth cycle would take about 6 years to re start again. Is this true. And will it take 6 years before my arms look normal. Thanks for your help

It's an old wives tale that shaving has any effect whatsoever on the texture, length, or time its takes the hair to grow back. In fact, this is a quote from my medical textbook under the Integumentary system. "Contrary to popular belief, frequent cutting or shaving does not make hair grow faster or become coarser. Why? Because neither process affects the epithelial cells that form the hairs because the cells are embedded in the dermis." Hope this helped.....

My sister shaved her slight "moustache" and it did seem to grow in thicker and darker. I have read that this is a myth - that it only seems thicker because the ends are now blunt - but I'm telling you what my sister and I noticed with our own eyes.

There's another solution to this. You could switch from shaving to waxing. Waxing lasts longer and does not present the same problem in terms of thick regrowth. Eventually, you could stop waxing, too, but it might be a good interim step.

No No No No.
My sister went through this. They re-grew normal and soft or whatever. It'll just take time. I broke my arm and I shaved it after I got my cast off because I looked like a monkey.
Nobody can tell at all.

IF YOU STOP SHAVING THEM YOUR ARM HAIR WILL GROW IN DARKER AND THICKER THAN EVER SO YOU WILL MPST LIKELY LOOK LIKE A BEAST! I WOULD SUGGEST KEEP SHAVING THEM SO YOU CAN AVOID THIS PROBLEM OR GO GET A CREAM FOR PERM. HAIR REMOVAL!

if you dont have the funds for laser hair removal, i would wax them instead
