Sounds almost unbelievable to me.

75 lbs may or may not be a good weight for you, depends on your height and build. What's your body mass index (BMI)?

But if your dad really said this, even if half-kidding, it's kind of abusive.

Eating every other day is not the healthiest way to lose weight or get in condition. You can survive if you are indeed getting enough calories, but still not the best solution.

Adults often project their own weaknesses and fears onto their children. Not fair, but not uncommon.

If nothing else, try and hold on to your own sense of self in the meantime, and realize that some day you'll be the master of your own destiny. Work for that day, and promise yourself that you'll exercise better judgment when you get to be an adult.

Are you a girl or a boy? what is his problem? A control freak? So what you weigh 75 lbs. You are growing, hopefully you will continue to for the next 5-8 yrs. you should be moving, exercising and eating healthy, not being deprived of nutrition. That is a form of abuse. He needs to supply you with healthy, non suggary snacks and foods that are healthy like veggies, fruit and protein so you can develope into a healthy person, not a skinny person. My God. Thet is just wrong. You need to talk to him and ask him to buy only healthy foods and that is what you will eat and in smaller portions with snacks in between that are healthy. That way you both are happy and healthy. Good luck sweetie.

What is your dad a fat cow & wants to keep it all to himself? You're full of crap buddy..nice joke...but if your for real, 75 lbs is about right if your 4' 6". If your over 5 feet tall, you'll be dead soon & have no worries! Go watch some kiddie cartoons & eat some crappy snacks like the rest of the kids

You dad is going about this all wrong. It's up to you as whether you need or want to lose weight.

The way your dad is handling this is legally called child neglect.

Sounds like you need to talk to the children's division on this one. Even i you were large enough to lose weight this isn't the proper way to do so.

Sound like child abuse. Sound like you're skinny at only 75 lbs. Talk to an adult about this at school.

You need to eat in order to lose weight!!!! Starving yourself will only slow down your metabolism, you will therefore burn less calories and therefore not lose the weight!!!!

NO!!!!! you should be at least 90!!!!! call and tell someone if you really think your dad is serious. besides, hes obviously not that smart because starving yourself wil make you gain weight, at least at first. its one of the most inefficient ways to loose weight.
