a sty is not usually contagious like pink eye is....school is fine and the eye should be soaked with warm compresses as often as possible...a cottonball soaked in warm-hot water works well....if it doesnt heal over a few days a visit to the doctor for some antibiotic ointment might be needed.

I guess if you are in too much pain, but as long as it is not from pink eye , and most stys are not, then I don't think it is contagious. To bad you don't live in KC. School is canceled due to snow.

There is no reason you should not be able to go to school. Make sure you do not try and pop it. Use a warm washcloth and it should start to resolve soon!

I had them a lot as a kid and went to school everytime. No one can catch them from you and they do not prevent you from going to school. Other than they are unsightly they are ok to go to school with.
