Hot dogs are completely cooked when they are packaged. Anything you do after that is to adjust the temperature to what you prefer and/or make them appear different (grilling, frying).

Can you heat hot dogs in a crock pot? Sure! No problem!

If you are thinking of a beanie weenie casserole, with chopped 'dog and baked beans, this would be excellent as well. You might add some Velveeta or American cheese slices to the top of the beans and hotdogs for a little 'extra zip' just before serving.

Best wishes!

One of our favorites is to put a package of hot dogs in the crockpot, and cover with a can of hot dog chili and 1/4 cup of water and cook on low for about an hour and a half or so.
