Hey Adaam,

Hmmm, Genealogy is usually done with the perspective from a person. You apparently want to know where the name originates, and/or where Freuchts can be found. It is possible, like many last names, that it has more than one origin. Here are some sites (below in the references) to help you find the answers.

The following entries can be found at the Family Search site.
----------------------------------------------------------
International Genealogical Index - Germany
1. Maria Freucht - International Genealogical Index / GE
Gender: Female Birth: 25 JUL 1841 Heilinghausen, Oberpfalz, Bayern

International Genealogical Index - North America
2. Betsy Freucht - International Genealogical Index / NA
Gender: Female Birth: 18 SEP 1891 Manhattan, New York, New York

No Freucht entries were found at Ellis Island. There were no GENFORUM Entries. There are FAMILY sites, they should give you other places to ask.

This sounds like the misspelling of a famous german name: Feucht, check this one also. This happens often when the immigrants were give the papers in english, some of them were not able to write or to scared to correct it.
