This thing is OLD-Probably purchased in 85-87 as Black Tower is not a premium wine and runs <$10. Pour it out, save it for a special occasion or what???

Sorry, but Black tower is a white wine and does not age at all. A 1985 bottle is sooo far past, just pour it out. BTW Black Tower is never good. Try Dr. L by Loosen.

Red wines can improve in taste and probable value as they age. White wines should be consumed within 2 years of bottling as they do not improve as they age.
You don't mention whether the wine you found is red or white.

You could check ebay to see if Black Tower wine has any value. Ebay has such an eclectic mix of stuff on its auctions you just might find this wine there!

If it was unopened and laying on its side, it may be drinkable. There is a 50-50 chance.

A bulk wine, it was never particularly successful despite a really slick advertising campaign.

You might put it up on eBay and see what the dungeons and dragons crowd wants to offer, it may have some novelty value to a collector, and, who knows? It may be something that millionaire has been seeking all his life!

Don't open it, wipe it or otherwise mess with it. Keep it on its side so the cork doesn't dry out and leak air,

Cross your fingers. If nothing else, it's a great conversation piece!

Best wishes!

as long as it didn't get very hot or sit in direct sunlight it should still be good .wine improves with age. as far as value it is aged and someone may make an offer on it ,but until it is opened which ruins the value, you have no idea if it is bitter or not .if it is bitter don't drink it if it is sweet enjoy .
