The question is was that action a sin. The act of cutting in line, though many people do so, with a bible or without a bible is very inconsiderate as well as a sin. I have always heard and seen this WWJD? Would Jesus have cut in front of someone knowing that they bore the wait just to get to the front a little (or lot) quicker?
I think not. That action no matter how small was a sin but forgivable as any other sin other than blasphmy of the Holy Ghost.
If your brother sins against you, you should forgive 7X70 in a day, according to the Word. Forgive and forget as Christ has with our sins.

That would be rude but it would depend on the circumstances whether it was a sin. And exactly what was his ranking position in life an in regards to your own. Say if they were rushing to get out of a burning building Or they were hurrying to administer the last right to a victim in a horrible automobile accident. Well you just haven't told the entire story or circumstance of the situation to allow us to make a complete and unbiased value judgment. Just what the hell was the moron doing with a bible in the first place and where the hell did he get off cutting in front of a movie patron going to see "The Passion of Christ," You had the very same rights to see the movie as he did. Carrying a Holy Book was certainly no excuse. He should be crucified. And that's all I've got to say about that. Kisses Betty.

Dear jezareero,
That's a very subjective question because sin is first and foremost an act of the will and our actions come from our heart. i think if this person knowingly knew what he was doing and (regardless of religion- i think everyone knows that there is an order to being in line) than it was wrong.
God summarized all the laws by saying that we should love God and that we should love our neighbor. That wouldn't be a very loving act towards his neighbor and moreover, it was especially bad because he was carrying a Bible and gave you a wrong impression of who God is. There is no specific commandment that says "thou shall not cut in line" but if intentional this person did not act in a Christ-like manner.
James 4:17 puts it like this: Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (If this brother knew that doing good was not cutting in line and he still did it- it's sin.)
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

Well you remember that scripture, "The last will be first". They were just doing what Jesus said and moving from the back to the front. So cutting in line is Biblical! AMEN tell the school children!

If someone not carrying a Bible did the same to you, would you make it a point to tell everyone just to start something?

Just because someone is carrying a Bible does not mean they are Christians.

Only if rudeness is categorically a sin because it falls under the types of tresspasses that are mole hills.
People who do not forgive silly tresspasses as easy as these kinds, have the greater sin
