I don't know if a peeled potato would work - like when the pot is too salty, but refrigerating overnight seems to dissipate saltiness. Maybe this will work for sweetness, too.

My mother will add sugar to stuff that is overly salted, like spaghetti sauce or chili. Maybe it would work the other way around -- add salt?

your question is too simple. describe wat kind of food u have. you could add milk or butter. according to my mom.
do not add salt. it makes it taste salty and sweet like sweet and sour.
