YES, you should feel upset, and you're not overreacting. Sounds annoying and angering. I'm surprised he even asked you to marry him. Do you think he'll keep the promise to walk down the aisle? I had a man like that once. He promised to propose to me year after year after year. He promised he'd do it after he paid off his credit card. But when he did, he just bought himself a brand new car. Then he wanted a big projection television. Et cetera. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why some people do crap like that: lack of ability to commit, laziness, control, or just plain meanness. Talk to him about it...tell him that it makes you UNHAPPY, and be sure to stress that word. If you're unhappy, then it can lead you to fall out of love with him, and leave him. That should show him that he needs to be more trustworthy with you.

If he can't keep something as simple as a promise how in the world do you expect him to be the kind of person you want to even marry... He shouldn't be your fiance and it's really that simple... give him the ring back and go and find yourself a real man...

no you are not over reacting maybe what u need to do is leave him alone and find someone who will not lie to you. My boyfriend was like this everything that came out of his mouth was a f***ing lie i had to get rid of him and i see him now he is still lieing. I told him one day u are a grown a** man and u still lieing you will always be by yourself u lieing a** piece of S*** and i never looked back after that. You don't need him once a liar always a liar. Believe me!!

You have every right. If you speak to him he might even promise to you to never promise again.... I know how you feel as I feel hurt and betrayed when people do the same to me.....
Good luck with everything

Are you overreacting? We don't know. If he promised to butter you toast, and forgot. Perhaps. If he told you he would get a Job and promised to keep it, and told you he would only smoke pot on days that end in Y, then no. Your not.

I think maybe you need to re-think being engaged to this man. Is someone who values you and your feelings so little really the man that you want to be with for the rest of your life? I live my life by the quotation, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." Your fiance is showing you plenty. Believe it! He is selfish and immature.

sounds like you are with a person that is not ready to commit, or is very immature. if this is happening now, imagine what married life holds ahead for you, if i was you I would give it lots of thought, remember we cannot change anyone we can only change ourselfs.
