Im getting my first tattoo on my upper arm I am nervous I wanted to know how much it might hurt.

Mine tattoes on my arms did not hurt. Just plan on getting more because they are addictive. I only wanted one. I now have 11. What I found that helps is take something to distract you, like a book or music. I don't like the sight of my own blood so these things distract me and I have no problems. It also makes the time go faster too.

Tattoos do hurt, but it's more like a mixture of pain and pleasure. Your brain releases a certain chemical called endophins which explains the pleasure part of it. Getting tattoos can be quite addictive as well for this purpose. Try not to be nervous, just relax and enjoy it all. Start with something very simple and small at first. Hope this helps.

nobody can tell you how much something will hurt YOU. my tattoos hurt and i can take a lot of pain. it is enjoyable, not the pain, but the satisfaction that i am able to sit thru the pain and i get a beautiful tattoo out of it.
good luck with your tattoo! i hope you aren't getting flash. you'll regret it later. you should definitely get a custom tattoo.

I found that I actually really enjoyed my first tattoo. Probably because it was on my hip and that's less painful. Mainly it just felt like I was being tickled. I wouldn't worry about it though. Hah just don't laugh cause it will mess up the tattoo.

i want to get a tattoo when im older in my upper arm but make sure u go to an expensive place because the needle may have hiv

I'm a female and I have (7) tattoos. The fist tattoo is no biggie. Once you get that first one you are goona want many more so know what you are doing!

Not gonna lie. It will hurt but its more of an annoying hurt. Whats funny is even though they hurt,myself and people Ive known wanted to get another one as soon as they got done getting one.

I have a few and I must say they are addicting. once the outline is done you pretty much go numb but really it's not as bad as you might think.The sound was more annoying than the needle.
you'll be fine, when your ready to get your toungue peirced then you can get nervous it wouldn't have been so bad I think but the guy who did mine went realllllllllly slow and it did hurt!!!!good luck

It shouldn't hurt that much, I have tattoos going down my spine and it didn't hurt at all when I had them done.

Not much it wont. Get them on area where skin is stretched over bone. Ribs, spine ect thats painful.
