When we observe the universe, we see infinite shades, steps, and scales in everything. From individual atoms to the largest stars, from the lowest frequencies of sound & radiation to the highest. Time, numbers, distance, intelligence, everything has a range or progression from incredibly small & short, to incredibly large & long.

It has been colorfully suggested that we are to god as a microbe is to us. In other words, to create a universe like ours with all it's unimaginable complexity, from DNA to electromagnatism, gravity, particles, elements, god had to be not just a little smarter, but a trillion, trillion, trillion times smarter than us.

So where is/are all the beings in between us and god?

Yes there are.
The Founders of world religions are the Intermediaries between the One True God and mankind.
No one can directly gain access to the One True God, the Heavenly Father.
The Intermediaries like Moses, Christ, Muhammad...are the Holy Spirit. They are not God, They are not men, but They are like perfect Mirrors reflecting all the names and attributes of God.
All of these Messengers use the human temple to deal with mankind, so They are considred as Divine Sons.
Hence, all the religious Foundres are as Sons, but Holy Spirit in reality; They never attain the station of Supreme Deity, the One True God.
Once realizing this truth, we will easily conceive the meaning of One God, One Religon and one Mankind.

Jesus was called the intermediary.

But on the other hand, what higher level of life can a microbe relate to? None. The incremental steps are too large. And it's all by design.

Love the question O shadowy One. Maybe the beings between us and God are also so big and so small that Humans chose not to see them. Of course, the Tree in my back yard is a face of the Divine too so all I need to do is just *see*. Blessings.

The word "daemon" is Greek for intermediary spirit, a spirit which is neither good nor evil. As Christians rose to power they decided that anything that was not of their god was of their devil and called everyone else's gods inferior spirits or "demons". These two concepts got mixed together and that is why,in mainstream cultures, the only intermediary spirit acknowledged is the christians' savior jesus and/or angels.

1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.

There is an intermediate being and His name is Christ Jesus!! Amen!!!

The foolish questions that the created would ask the Creator.
We are to put on the knowledge of Christ through whom everything was created. put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

You only see what is on earth. What do you know of what is elsewhere? In Jewish and Christian tradition, there are 9 orders of angels, all higher than man, but not deities.
And, just as in the universe there is infinity, so too there is God.

They are there, from the dumbest person to the smartest one walking among us, to the even smarter angels. Then there's a big gap between the brightest angel and God.

Perhaps there are, I don't know. The Bible says that Jesus made Himself a little lower than angels in order to taste death for us. I suppose you could read something into that and surmise that the order goes us, angels, Jesus and God.

What there is beyond that I don't know, but I don't think it is all that important to us 'microbes' lol

How many intermediaries are there between you and your parents? God is our Father in Heaven and we are His children, not His grandchildren or great grandchildren. He wants us to KNOW Him and be close to Him. Therefore, there was only one 'intermediary', and that was Jesus Christ (who was both mortal and diety! God with us, Immanuel!) whom He sent to reconcile us to Himself. Hebrews 9:15, "And for this cause (reconciliation to God) he (Christ Jesus) is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, ...they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance." Heb 9:24, "For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, but into heaven itself, NOW TO APPEAR IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD FOR US." v.28, "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many" Heb 10:12, "But this man, (Christ) after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;" v.14, "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." All of that means that Jesus is our ONLY mediator, the only one necessary or perfect enough, and by means of His sacrificial death for us we can be reconciled to God as His dear children, and live with Him, walk and talk with Him every day. He even says, "Ask of me, and I will show you great and mighty things which you know not." Because He truly IS the God who created this unimaginably complex world, and He really IS a trillion, trillion, trillion times smarter and greater than we can even imagine! So, why don't YOU call on Jesus and ask Him to show YOU some of those 'great and mighty things'?! I KNOW He will do it if you ask Him.
