I am so sorry to hear of your allergies. Recently a client told me about natural vegentable dyes. Look into this more and perhaps this will be a good alternative. Do mention next time what color you are trying to achieve.

There are hair dyes out that have no ammonia or peroxide in them. Is that what you are allergic to?

You didn't say what color you wanted.
brunettes can used dark sage tea.
Blondes can use chamomile tea to add golden highlights
Red heads can use Red Zinger tea as a rinse. Leave on 5 minutes and rinse
