what do they call it when a person has the underlayer of their hair dyed a color and the top layer a completely differnt color?

I dunno. My mom does hair, so I just say I want the underneath of my hair colored black. Most places know what your talking about. I don't pay enough attention to know, but I'm not sure if they're is a name... There may be?

I know that streaking but that is probily not the same thing. when you high light you can do that type of process
