Also, the Ft. Benning website used to have the course schedule. It is no longer there. What areas of instruction are emphasized? Does it really prepare you for Ranger School? Any advice for success? Thanks!

Went through BIOCC at Benning and did my OBC at Ft. Sill (FAOBC).

All are demanding but not punishing.Did and Army E&E course with a POW camp at a different base.....that was demanding. All of this was in the '70s but the basics will never change.

Any OBC is not demanding. IOBC, AOBC, are the ones I am familiar with. You will graduate, everyone does (for the most part). It should be more demanding but it isn't. It's a gentlemen's course, like most officer based courses. It is not designed to prepare you for ranger school, but there will be a pragram while you are there to help get you ready for RIP and ROP.

BCT is BCT no count number what base you attend. I attend BCT (IN OSUT) on fort Benning and years later commanded a BCT unit on fort Jackson. The curriculum has similarities and the Drill Sergeants and commanders might want to strictly abide through the curriculum. Do what you're instructed and also you'll do effective! sturdy success!
