Bowel irritability and kidney problems can arise from blood in urine. Go back to your doctor and ask for a battery of tests. Better safe than sorry.

There are many things that causes blood in the urine. I had that two years ago. It was caused by too much calcium in my body. since i do not drink milk because of lactose intolerance, I took calcium tablets to avoid osteoporis as I age. Only to realize that crystals were starting to form in my kidneys. The doctor explained that since I am an avid water-drinker, the crystals are easily flushed out of my system. And as it moves out thru urinating, the crystals must have "bumped" into the walls of my urethra, and thus, causing an injury. Hence, the blood in my urine.

I went thru several KUB exams - Kidney, Urethra, and Bladder ultrasound. And with the right medication, thanks God, i got well fast.

Do not be reluctant to visit your doctor. It could be that the medicines you are taking now are causing the formations of crystals or stones in your kidney. It could also be your diet, especially if you are a meat-eater.

I have also learned from another doctor that there are some people who normally have blood in their urine, but the amount of blood is at a very minimal level. Your urinalysis test would tell you the volume of the blood traces.

Once you have yourself treated, I also suggest that you have a yearly urinalysis exam. It pays to treat yourself well. Wish you luck. God bless.

Infections in the kidneys, urinary tract, bladder can cause that. Kidney stones are a big cause of this. As an example....my dad has had stones several times. Thought he had one back in Sept and they did 2 different tests and with both they said he didn't have one so they decided to see if he had something wrong with his prostate. Lo and behold though he had a golfball size kidney stone. He'd also been on antibiotics etc b/c his white blood count had been up. Get back to the dr and get more tests. This could be something relatively simple but could be something bad that you want to catch asap. Good luck and hope you get feeling better!

enable me initiate by declaring i'm no longer a health worker so my answer is opinion purely: Did he provide you with discomfort killers? Taking too many promptly is undesirable and would damage your abdomen, causing bleeding, ulcers, and different complications. I actually have heard of persons who threw up blood, defecated blood, although, by no ability urinated blood. no longer sensible if that's attainable or perhaps concerning pills. in case you have not been taking pills and that's no longer attainable that my above reason is the reason, search for further advice out of your physician.

Please call your doctor and make an appointment to be seen. It may be a urinary tract infection or something like that, and may not have been treated by the antibiotics you were prescribed. Don't worry...just call and get help from your doctor.

Hope you feel better soon. Best wishes.

STDs or internal injuries can both cause blood in urine. I'll bet it isn't something that serious though.
