It all depends on #1. how old you are.#2. how is your driving record and #3. how much can you afford for insurance.The evo is considered a hot rod by car insurance companies and if you are a new driver or one with a driving record with speeding violations on it the insurance cost may be higher than your car payments.where as the civic is considered a normal car and the insurance will be more affordable along with lower car payments than the evo.But if insurance premiums and car payments are not a issue buy the evo.It's the fastest PRODUCTION car on the market and it comes with all wheel drive standard which make driving it in all kinds of weather easier.

I would say go with the Honda. I too love the EVO but if you are looking to get any kind of work done to the car, its a lot easier on the Honda and parts are easier to find as well as being slightly lower in cost. Thats saying that you do all of your own work though.
