When it comes to antivirus programs, it's best to get one that is FREE and one that doesn't eat up your system resources such as RAM and CPU usage.
McAfee and Norton are major resource hogs and are way overpriced for what they actually do regarding protection from viruses.
The one I see recommended the most on the technical sites that I belong to is AVG Antivirus. It is not a real large program. It is FREE. I updates itself every day. It will scan your incoming email. And it does a very efficient job overall.

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

A good place to start would be www.snapfiles.com, click on freeware... under the security settings they list all types of programs and also have reviews by other users so you can see what your getting before you download it.
