If u can find some stuff called Thermazene it should help, I know this may ssound crazy, but put your thumb in some buttermilk and it will help with the burning and probably not cause a scare. My brother when he was younger grabbed a muffler on a lawn mower and burnt his hand our grandfather (God rest his soul) stuck his hand in a bowl of buttermilk and my brother does not have a scare one on his hand and he is 26 now, he was 3 when he did it.

Put it under cool (not cold) water to lower the temperature. Or wrap a cool washcloth around it.
Neosporin might ease the pain a bit.
Wrap gauze or bandages around it, because I'll bet the skin will be very tender.

you r going to think i am nuts but try some pickle juice.... I used to fry alot in a deep fryer and would always burn myself.. we kept a jar of pickle juice to put our hands in if we got burnt and it actually does take the burn out and also keeps if from blistering

Put some mylanta or pepto bismal on it.It works for ulcers in your stomach it will do the same thing on the outside.

Ice is the best thing for a burn at first, then follow up with aloe or some other burn ointment.

I always burn myself, my boyfriend puts egg whites from a fresh egg and it always seems to stop the pain.

Place something cold on it.Soon a burn scar will appear.Try not to mess with that.
