I love to sing and I am in the chior in church and I sing solos and have sung for weddings and funerals and many over the years have told me I have a beautiful voice. I did not earn this talent this is a gift that the Lord gave me. I would say thank you God bless you or I appreicate it, but I want the glory to go to the Lord so what are some things I can say to people that are loving and sincere and god honoring when I receive compliments?

I know what you mean, I am a singer as well. Sometimes I feel like that too. I am happy that you have thought about it though, because that means you are aware of it. Some people fall in the trap of thinking that they did something. But anything good in this world comes from it's creator. God bless you and I hope the Lord uses you in magnificent ways!

I think your testimony to the Lord comes when you sing His praises. My daughter is the same. A lot of people will comment that she has a God given talent. She knows it's a gift and uses it as such. Continue to sing of and for the Lord and just give thanks.

Just thank them for the compliment and thank God for your talent. Remembering to thank Him for what He's given you will keep you humble bc it reminds that He's the source of what you have.

Praise God. Or, I'm just trying to not bury my talents.

I used to be very embarassed when someone said they had appreciated a talk or a sermon I had given. Then I finally woke up one day and realized all I had to say was: "Thank you, that is really encouraging for me" - because It's alright that I need and appreciate encouragement.
