I am 68 pounds, 5"3, and 14. I have always been the skinniest girl in my grade, everyone says I'm light as a feather, I can see my ribs sticking out of my stomach.
I can't take it anymore! I am so skinny, I am trying to gain weight, I eat 3 meals a day and 3 snacks, I don't know what to do, I never gain any weight.
I went to my doctor, and he said I am fine, that I am healthy, becuase I don't starve myself or anything, and that I do not have a tapeworm in my body.
Why am I like this is it because I have a super fast metabolism? How do I make my metabolism slower?

When i was 14 i was less than 100 lbs. I was really hoping i could be 100 by high school because i knew i was really skinny!. It stayed that same pretty much through high school and i think i may have graduated at 105 or max 110. Didn't help that i ate like a bird. Now at 23 i weigh 120 and think i'm fat. its funny how that works, anyways. I only started gaining weight when i got an office job sitting behind a computer and started eating fast food everyday!

I would try those liquid meals like Boost or Ensure with high protein. Not only are they good, but it should help.

There are over the counter weight products in the drug store. Is they still make Wate-On, try it. Otherwise, every day thoroughly mix a raw egg in a glass of milk with a tinge of vanilla flavoring. This is the way I put weight back on after spinal fractures in an auto accident. Malts and shakes will help, too.

Okay, first of all, Millions of people would like to be as skinny as you are... Second of all, I don't think you can make your metabolism slower... Third of all, I think what you need is to exercise... If you keep on eating like that, you will get jelly rolls... If you exercise, you will get a nice toned stomach instead of your ribs sticking out or jelly rolls... Just try it!

Try eating foods that build up muscle rather than fatty foods. High protein foods like chicken breast and egg whites.
