When I used to work at Kroger, this lady asked me what church I went to. . .I told her the truth," I'm not a religious person and I'm happy this way". She told me to go to Hell, "hello, I don't believe in anything but myself and that I don't need a religion to know good from evil, right from wrong. She was not a true Christian!

Well what she was doing was condemning you. There is a difference between judgment and condemnation. Judgment is being able to discern while condemnation is about assuming the authority to prescribe a sentence upon someone. Hey wait though you kind of answered your own question.... You said "Why are so many Christians that I've met so judgemental" then you used her as an example, then you said "she was not a true Christian"........ Well if she was not a true example of a Christian, then you should renounce your previous statement.

So Many? One lady at Kroger..Anyhoo- A christian is a christian by what they do, not what they say..Lot's talk the talk and judge folks, but few walk the walk and Love everyone like they should. Remember, there are people who are spiritually sick in all faiths and walks of life. All walks of life. Someone proclaiming loudly they are a Christian is usually a warning that they are just a poser.

Those people may think they are christian, but are not really true christians. If they were, they would know that judgment is up to God, that's his job, not theirs. They do not know what the other person has endured, or what hardship they may have had to overcome. I think there will be many surprised people after they die. It is not necessary, but it is futile. I am not afraid right now, but everyone is afraid of something, sometime. Anyone who claims they have never been afraid, have not lived.

Well if she told you to go to hell that was wrong. If she said you that you was going to hell because you was not saved then thats not judging. She told you what God's word would tell you. If someone is using God's word that is not judging. Call God a judge is you wish cause he truly is. One day God will judge you and because you are not saved you will go to a devils hell. But I do commend you for being truthful about not being saved cause thats the first step to getting saved is knowing your lost. I know you might not see that but others and God does as well.

No she was a true christian, look Christians are waiting for the judgment day, like they are out on bond and waiting to be freed or be sentenced and hoping the judge will light on them, so they judge other people in anticipation of what it might be like when they go to be judged, Sad Huh

Because they don't know what the true meaning of Christianity is. How can you be of a religion that preaches nothing but love and tell someone that they are going to hell? It doesn't make sense. I'm Christian and it doesn't matter to me what a person believes or with whom they associate with. Jesus didn't teach us to hate one another he taught us to love one another no matter what.

the problem is that many people use this as an excuse to dismiss a true statement from a christian. If you are caught doing wrong and are called on it are you really being judged? if God said it was wrong and you are openly doing it than god has judged you...a christian is simply reminding you.

Unfortunately, it's a lot easier to point out someone else's shortcomings than our own. Just understand that the only person with the ability to put someone in heaven or hell is God, and His opinion is the only one that matters. He knows everyone's heart and will judge accordingly at due time. (Yea, I know you may not believe in any of this, nevertheless...)

Christian defined as "christ like or as a little christ" frankly she told you what he one day will. The bible says the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of God "saying that he does not exist or he is not what he is". True christian not me to judge.
Judge not lest you be judged, for the measure you use against others so shall that measure be used against you.

To many Christians do not know the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. His is a teaching of love, forgiveness and service. How ever you do need his help to return to the father in heaven.
