Are cola drinks not allowable to drink according to religious rules and regulations?

Are you kidding me? You must be. I am a muslim woman. My inlaws are from Pakistan. My brother in law is the production manager at the Faisalabad Coca Cola Company. Drinking pepsi and cola is very common there. Most muslims do drink it. Please tell me something rational, because this just is not. It's outrageous.

Nothing at all! Religion and cola drinks have nothing in common, philosophically saying," Why would God marry a scientific lab breeding humans?" Not that genetic engineering is wrong, but nonetheless, Muslim faith related regulations do not apply to coke or pepsi products at all!

According to Islamic rules/regulations, it never state that such drinks according to such cases will be disallowed.
I just believe that everything is a bad rumor in attempt to taint the reputation of the Pepsi company.
But if really such rumors are actually true, then i believe that it is just the Muslim's right not to support Pepsi Cola as the company itself does not show any respect to the religion.

It's not forbidden to drink Pepsi (unless it has some ingredients in it which is forbidden, but I don't think that is the case), but what some people are basically doing is creating their own sanctions. What does America do if they don't like a country? They put sanctions on them. So basically some people who don't like America won't use any products from American made company. Has nothing to do with Islam.

no you might have not watch the news but India is asking pepsi to disclose what is all the ingredients in pepsi because India has found out that there are things in there that are not good for your health

They say that if you put the label of the Coca Cola upside down, it reads La Mohammad la Makak.(in arabic). La means no.
so many muslims don't drink cola
or atlest that's what I heard
I don't drink cold drinks. ANY. It gives my stomoch upsets.

Well, I hear they don't eat pork (good old fashioned bacon and eggs) and they don't eat beef (bar-be-que steak) so it is not a wonder that they don't drink pepsi.
