Popular? what type? u should narrate the question in detail for better answer. Anyway, Just make ur self as her or over her standard. Be cautious about her choice. U need to know that she had some one of her choice or not? If yes, ask her to be ur friend only. And prove her that u will remain trusted to her.

Go ahead ask her. I can tell that you have doubts about yourself.... confide in yourself and believe that you are worth more than anyone tells you. If the girl does not accept you then move on to someone else. Don't waste your time whining about something that could of happened. Girls are like a battle, you don't win them all. Believe that someone will find true happiness when they fall in love with you.

Girls like mysterious guys. Or they may even like loud ones. It's all her decision. If she's a bitchy type forget it. But if she's like one of the popular girls with a heart slowly get to know her and be friendly. You see her down the hall compliment her or just say hi. Soon she will maybe like you back. Maybe she will think your attractive. Sometimes when that happens to me, I just like being around them and it makes me feel good. Stay around her, talk to her, become friends, then move on. I think that might work better than just asking her out. If she doesnt know anything about you, then chances are she will reject you.
But if you talk to her and become friends, theres a way better chance of getting with her.

Take one step at a time. First try and be her friend. See how she behaves with you. Is she nice to you or is that word popular gone to her head. If she is nice to you than try and become her best friend and later propose to her. If she is nasty just ignore her.

Start a rumor that she has an STD like aids, that way she will no longer be popular and might stoop down to your level. You could also wait until she is 50 years old, cause all women look really bad by this age.
