Ask her if you can borrow something, anything. Think of something good. Give her a big smile. Remember that you get to bring whatever you borrow back, so that would be your chance to say hello and introduce yourself. Ask her if she wants to get some hot chocolate after she's done studying. Or something, whatever. Try to act casual even if you are thinking, "I must get to know you or I'll regret it for the rest of my life."

Something you could try (guys have used this on me) is to ask her if you can borrow something, like a pencil. Or ask her to watch your things for a second while you pretend to use the restroom. When you come back, thank her and then ask her some general questions that don't seem "too strong" ie. what are you studying.....? This can lead to more conversation. As a girl, I think this is very flattering, and she'll probably appreciate the break from her studies. As for asking for her number, see how it plays out. If she smiles a lot and plays with her hair, ask her. Just do it!

Wow talk about a tense moment. Yes make a move, how ever do not just walk up to her and ask for her number 9 time out of 10 they will be reject you. Try and make small talk at first, if she doesnt see you get up and sit by her ask her if this chair is taken. This way you will know many things, like if she is intrested, if she is looking and if she has someone else.

Introduce yourself. And ask for her number or better yet give her yours. Explain you would like to go out but first would like to met her back at the library to study or at a local coffee house some where public so she will feel safe. Find out what class she is studying for maybe you've already taken it and could help her study etc...

You shouldn't just walk up to her and ask for her number. Make small talk first. Talk about school, sports, anything...work up to getting the number. Tell her the truth...that you didn't want this moment to pass without at least introducing yourself. I think that is the sweetest thing. Good Luck!

I'm a man...not a lady. But, here's what I suggest you do. Tell her that you put a question on yahoo answers. Tell her that you saw a cute girl at the library and you wondered if you should talk to her...you didn't know what to do. So, you asked your question on yahoo answers. Then, tell her that people answered your question by suggesting that you go over and talk to her. Then, tell her that you are doing just that!!! She will be very amused and very flattered that you went to all that trouble!!!

If you guys have the same classes then ask her to get together for a study session. Order Pizza or go to a quiet shop where you guys can have a bite to eat and study. YOu do need to get the facts tho on if she is dating anyone or anything like that you dont want to step on toes.

If I get asked for my # from someone that I don't know, I will give them a bogus #.
If you like her then start a good conversation with her then before you leave get her # after you talk a while. Just be yourself and have fun. Good luck.

Heh, weird... you have no idea. Ask her what her name is, get to know her a bit. Chatting it up is nice, though don't be too strong and share your opinions. Also try not to talk too much about either her or you, shows too much interest or that your just full of yourself. Ohh, and don't be too shy!
Uhmm... yea, that's all I could really tell you in my opinion.
